ABOUT
My name is Laura, creator of The Kids Paper Club, a children's stationery brand that encourages writing, creativity and personal development from childhood.
From school to motherhood
The Kids Paper Club was created out of a need that arose during my childhood and reappeared when I became a mother. When I was at school I always had the feeling that we often didn't treat each other well enough, that everyone looked out for themselves and that there wasn't much empathy when we saw someone suffering. When my first child was born, that thought came up again and I thought I wanted to be able to give him the tools to be a caring, self-respecting and grateful person. If we are at peace, we are happier and can take better care of ourselves and our environment.
My lifelong passions
I've always been passionate about reading, writing, design and stationery. So, without realising it, I put it all together and created the brand's first product, The Kids Best Self Journal, a journal of self-knowledge and gratitude for kids.
Research materials and content
I started researching and realised that there was no children's stationery proposal that offered what I wanted for my children, both in terms of content and in terms of quality and design. That's why all our products are made from the highest quality and most sustainable materials. From stone paper, which is waterproof and the most sustainable paper to produce, to FSC recycled paper from sustainable forests. In the same way, we design all our products in Menorca, where I live with my family, and we produce them in Barcelona, my hometown.
Development during childhood
We know that childhood is a crucial stage in human development. It is when our brains absorb everything and at the same time we are at our most vulnerable. In a world that is increasingly frenetic, individualistic and full of screens, we want to offer you our products to help you encourage writing, reflection and creativity in your children. You will get them to grow up knowing themselves better, more grateful and bringing out the best version of themselves.
Our products are made for using and keeping
Childhood goes by in the blink of an eye and our proposal is based on offering quality products that they want to use and that you want to keep forever. This is our way of celebrating this wonderful stage of life and doing our bit for society.
